NK Architects' Master Plan for Kean University called for the renovation of historically significant buildings while retaining many of their original features. NK introduced natural light, the most advanced technologies and re-defined interior spaces to create a new President's suite, Provost Offices, Conference Center, Board Room and Reception Hall. The centerpiece of the project is a new two-story wing that houses a state-of-the-art admissions office and acts to complete the original farm complex. The sustainable aspects of this project include the reuse of existing structures and the incorporation of a geothermal heating and cooling system. The project is currently in the process of obtaining a LEEDTM Silver Certification.
