The renovation and adaptive re-use of the former Mount Olive public library into a new Child Care Center in 2006 allowed the consolidation of Preschool, Before & After Kindergarten, and Infant & Toddler programs, which had previously been functioning in separate facilities. The new location allows for greatly enhanced and expanded programs and services, including a free Parent Education Program. The facility is designed to serve up to 130 children, ranging in age from 2-1/2 to 5 years old.
Classrooms are designed for maximum flexibility and accommodation of future programs in mind. Pre and Aftercare programs were provided with a separate building entrance, allowing them to operate when the balance of the child care center is closed.
