Oak Hill Academy’s new 8,700 square foot Science and Environmental Center includes life, physics, earth and general science labs for grades Pre-K through 8. The building was designed with an exposed steel and wood structural system and is oriented to maximize natural daylight in all of the common space and lab/classrooms. The building is designed in natural cedar siding, stone veneer, metal roof and aluminum curtain wall with an integrated sun shade system. The project includes a greenhouse for the study of botany and a solar PV roof program. A student commons and faculty offices also occupy the facility.
