The basic nature of research, development, and academic space assumes that change is an integral part of research. Therefore, static facilities will conflict with the flexible and dynamic demands of research and education. Working closely with our clients, we identify the appropriate level of flexibility needed to meet user requirements and still incorporate room for change. Our team balances job function demands and the space required by those demands to reach the most cost-effective use of new and/or existing space.
The foundation of our design philosophy is one of consensus building throughout the design process. Communication with all user groups, as planning and design alternatives are explored, is imperative. Our design team will facilitate a thorough analysis of alternative solutions, which considers the interests of all “stake holders” within the institutions.
