Strengthening is its commitment to the revitalization of downtown Newark, Rutgers University converting a portion of a former vacant building into a new day care center, intended to serve up to 30 children. The center will accommodate 2 ½ to 5 year olds, and will be designed for maximum flexibility. A new secure play area will be created in the rear of the building.
