The renovation and expansion of the Hale Athletic Center at New Jersey's Rutgers University has resulted in a state-of-the-art athletic and academic support building on par with the finest 'Big East' facilities.

In addition to creating much-needed space for functional requirements, this 47,000-square-foot project incorporated the latest athletic and educational systems, audio-visual capabilities, lighting, and mechanical systems. The architecturally distinctive facility provides the University with a powerful recruiting tool.

Three primary focuses of the renovation were the weight room, the academic support facilities, and the team meeting room. The weight room has doubled in size and has received physical and functional enhancements, allowing it to serve as a focal point for the facility. The academic support center has been consolidated to a prominent location and upgraded in a manner that clearly communicates the school's commitment to academic excellence. The main meeting room accommodates 150 seats in a stadium-type configuration and is equipped as a state-of-the-art meeting and conference center.
