The 74,000 square foot Center for Integrative Proteomics research is the new home
for the Protein Data Bank, a data repository for 3D structures of macromolecules.
The ground floor houses the facility imaging suites, including Mass Spectrometry,
X-Ray Crystallography, Cryo-Electron Microscope Suite with two scopes and a
3,400 square foot Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Suite with seven magnets.
The facility also houses The BioMaPS Institute for Quantitative Biology, which aims
to promote research and education at the research of biological, mathematical and
physical biology. The project is sited in a research hub populated by both Rutgers
University and UMDNJ.
