Walter Kneis, AIA, LEED AP, Principal, and Daniel Topping, AIA, LEED AP, Senior Associate, presented a seminar on the basics of building certification through the US Green Building Council’s LEED system at the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey/New Jersey Independent Colleges Funding (AICUNJ/ICFNJ) organization’s Green Conference, held at Drew University on July 8th. The conference was attended by sustainability coordinators and representatives of the 14 AICUNJ-member, privately-supported institutions of higher education in New Jersey. The presentation focused on the benefits, process and costs associated with the LEED certification process and provided insights into the necessary steps required to successfully certify a project.
