Hank Abernathy

Hank has over 45 years of specialized experience in science and research facility design for such clients as Weill Cornell Medical College, SUNY Farmingdale, SUNY Downstate, Columbia University, BioBAT, Stevens Institute of Technology and Provista Diagnostics. Prior to joining NK, Hank has worked both nationally and internationally for the Hillier Group, Shepley Bullfinch Richardson & Abbott and Perkins Eastman.

Hank resides in New York and is active in the New York chapter of the AIA as Co-Chair of the Science & Research Facility Committee. He has an undergraduate degree from Rice University and a Master’s degree from Princeton University. His interests include painting and running. Hank is the author of “School of Hard Knots,” which documents life as an officer on a destroyer during the Vietnam conflict.
