Project Overview

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is nationally recognized as a leader in rehabilitation research and treatment. The centerpiece of this 128,000-square-foot project, located at Kessler’s flagship West Orange campus, is the new 101,000-square-foot, 96‐bed West Pavilion addition, which comprises a 48‐bed spinal cord injury suite and a 48‐bed traumatic brain injury unit.

Through a nearly quarter‐century-long relationship with Kessler Institute, NK has developed a deep understanding of the multi‐disciplinary nature of successful SCI and TBI treatment, which involve an extensive patient‐focused team of medical professionals in order to support the physical, emotional, social and recreational needs of the patient, along with insightful awareness of the role that the physical environment plays in supporting patient healing and wellness.

The project also includes new Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy Gyms, a Specialized Care unit, a new visitor entry lobby and administrative suites.
