Project Overview

This university level research building contains research labs, conference rooms, lecture halls, a state-of-the-art TV studio, and The Factory of the Future. The Factory of the Future is an incubator and R&D facility for telecommunications and robotics and serves both the university community and major corporations throughout New Jersey.

The scope of this project was to renovate an existing lecture hall into a state-of-the-art teaching space that facilitates the teaching and learning process. The design creates an inspired space that influences the focus and mood of the occupants. By utilizing the existing coves in the walls and the coffered ceiling as design and lighting elements, the end user’s environment and experience are dramatically enhanced.

At the upper level of the lecture hall, students can find a touchdown / lounge space that offers opportunities for privacy, collaboration or relaxation.
