Barhan Karahan
Barhan has more than two decades of healthcare, residential, mixed-Use and hospitality experience. Being very detail oriented, he has expanded his hands-on experience on all project phases from schematic design to construction contract administration. He started his career in Istanbul in the late 1990s and moved to New York City in 2001. He enjoys living, working and being a part of “the city that never sleeps.”
Barhan used to make physical architectural models by hand and created hand drawings using an actual T-square and a Rapidograph pen, long before computer-aided drafting. Back in MS-DOS times, he played with Autocad starting with release 11 and 3D Studio for fun; now he is enjoying Revit and 3D printing.
In his free time, Barhan likes spending quality time with his kids, family and friends; watching movies; and playing the four Bs: basketball, backgammon, bowling, and billiards.
