Kellie Silva

Kellie has a keen interest in adaptive design and believes that architecture has the ability to empower communities and the environment. She was able to experience firsthand how her love for architecture and design could make an impact on others at internships including with the NYC Department of City Planning. A much-awarded designer, as a Bachelor of Architecture student at the New York Institute of Technology she was recognized with the AIA Henry Adams Medal and NYIT Faculty Thesis Award.

Kellie has always admired architecture from around the world and has had the privilege to visit many countries and gain knowledge about different cultures and people — knowledge that, as a design student, she has incorporated into projects that create better spaces for communities. Her other interests include painting, watching movies and taking care of her plants. She is also a fluent speaker of Portuguese.
