NK Appoints Andrew Lewis as CEO in Leadership Transition

We are pleased to announce a planned leadership transition that positions the firm for its next chapter of growth while reinforcing its long-term vision and enduring commitment to excellence. Effective January 1, 2026, Andrew Lewis has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), succeeding Stephen Aluotto, who provided 17 years of dedicated leadership in the position.  

Stephen Aluotto has served as President and CEO through a period of sustained growth and organizational evolution. He will remain actively engaged with the firm as a Principal and Chair of the Board of Directors, where he will continue to provide strategic oversight while supporting key client and project relationships.

Andrew has been an integral member of NK’s team over the past 15 years and brings a collaborative, forward-looking approach to his new role. “I am humbled to step into this role, and I am grateful that, in many ways, this is a continuation of the work we’ve been doing together for years,” said Lewis.

Strengthened Leadership Structure
In support of this leadership transition, NK Architects has established a renewed organizational structure designed to enhance alignment across operations, practice, and administration. Joining Andrew in executive leadership are:

Chief Operations Officer & Principal
Leading operations and integrated project delivery systems.

Andrea Hsu, IIDA, CHID, EDAC
Chief Practice Officer & Principal
Guiding quality of design, practice specialization, and practice development.

Daniel Topping, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Chief Administrative Officer & Principal
Overseeing finance, human resources, legal, and general administration of the firm.

“This structure allows us to be more intentional about how we lead the firm,” Lewis added. “It supports clarity in decision-making while preserving the collaborative culture that defines NK.”

These leadership changes are not expected to disrupt client service or project continuity. NK Architects remains focused on serving healthcare providers, educational institutions, and allied organizations across the region with the same dedication, responsiveness, and expertise that have long defined the firm.
